Summary:
This position is responsible for performing routine duties associated with the day-to-day activities of the Livestock Department.
Duties include but are not limited to manual labor, performing routing livestock duties, delivering shavings/pre-bedding stalls and such other duties as required by the Senior Livestock Event Coordinator or Agricultural/Youth Director.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Ensure proper preparation of event staging areas and supply distribution (drapes, tables, chairs, shavings, etc.
) as required.
Notify immediate supervisor of facilities or equipment in need of repair or replacement.
Work with other GNFA personnel to ensure the success of events and the satisfaction of participants and guests.
Assist with setup and removal for all Livestock events at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter.
Other duties, functions, and special assignments as directed by the Agricultural/Youth Director.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to abide by all policies and procedures of the GNFA.
Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds routinely, with long stretches of standing/walking on concrete areas.
Other:
This position may require an irregular work schedule and the performance of work assignments which may not be directly related to job specifications.
The Livestock General Laborer must comply with generally accepted professional practices as well as relevant State and Federal regulations.
Such guidelines are generally clear and specific but may require some interpretation in their application.
Minimum Training and/or Experience to Perform Essential Job Functions:
An education level commonly associated with the completion of a high school diploma is required.
(ADA) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and understand written materials.
Ability to effectively communicate to give or exchange information, resolve problems, and/or provide services.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in written form in a professional manner.
Primary communication is with outside officials and customers as well as other GNFA employees.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to interpret and understand general business principles, a variety of forms, manuals, regulations, and other means of instruction and guidance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
