Vehicle Description 1965 Cadillac Coupe DeVille with 81,941 original miles.
EXTERIOR - A quality repaint was done in 2013 to include violet pearl which looks awesome under the sunlight.
This is a southern car spending most of it's life in Tullahoma, TN with the original owner until I acquired it almost 10 years ago.
It has been garage kept since new.
There is no rust anywhere on this car and all of the chrome and stainless work is original.
Aside from minor pitting on the front and rear bumpers, it looks fantastic.
New window sweeps were installed approximately 5 years ago.
The doors shut solid and the car is air tight with no leaks.
INTERIOR - The car retains the original interior with the exception of the vinyl floor mats.
Aftermarket floor mats were installed with the Cadillac logo.
Overall, the interior is in excellent condition with minor wear on the driver's seat.
The dash is perfect and all of the interior trim is present and like new condition.
The original radio is still in good working order as well as the power antenna.
All power options work as they should with the exception of the automatic climate control.
This can be operated manually which can be discussed with a potential buyer.
ENGINE - The car has the original 429 V8 and 3 speed auto trans.
The engine runs quite and has been serviced regularly over the years to include new water pump, plugs, wires, Pertronix conversion, belts, fuel pump, etc.
The original Carter AFB carb is cold natured after sitting for a few days and the electric choke could use servicing.
The transmission shifts great with no issues.
Under the hood is very clean and original with no missing parts.
OTHER MECHANICAL - The car is lowered 2 with Jamco springs and shocks.
This setup retains factory ride quality with no scraping on speed bumps, etc.
The front suspension bushings were replaced in 2014 with factory quality bushings from Kanter Auto Parts, which is a supplier of classic car suspension components.
The car rides on 20 Boss 338 wheels with good tires.
The wheels still look new and have been kept clean.
A front disc brake conversion was performed using Scarebird brackets which allow the use of readily available Chevy truck brake parts.
The master cylinder was also replaced with a dual reservoir unit.
This car really turns heads and gets lots of attention.
I drive it about once or twice a month and when not being driven, it stays in my garage under a cover.
I am sure there's things that I am forgetting but I'll be happy to answer any and all questions about the car.
Being the second owner, I am fortunate enough to know most of the history about it.
I am located in Perry, GA.
